In order to commemorate the accreditation ceremony of the third year of Spain Brand Honorary Ambassadors on 25 June, the economic newspaper Expansión published one of the traditional debates held by the Leading Brands of Spain Forum, which focused on the role of these figures and of other celebrated Spanish personalities in promoting the Spain brand and Spanish brands internationally.
“The Leading Brands of Spain Forum wanted to take advantage of the prestige of certain figures to reinforce our country’s brand. The relation between the image of a leader and a country should be exploited. This is the reason for the creation of the Spain Brand Honorary Ambassadors,” said Miguel Otero, General Manager of the Leading Brands of Spain Forum, during the debate.
The debate featured participation from José Palacios, partner of Garrigues; Gonzalo Brujó, CEO of Interbrand; Tomás García, Assistant to Corporate Communication Management and the Chairman’s Office at Repsol; Raúl Pealba, Chairman of positioning Systems; Jaime Montalvo, Promotion Managing Director of the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade; and Miguel Otero, General Manager of the Leading Brands of Spain Forum.
