General Manager of the Leading Brands of Spain Forum Miguel Otero took part in the opening day of the 5th Wine Marketing Forum, held in Logroño on 26 March. His presentation, titled “Market value, brand value”, highlighted the importance of the brand as a strategic asset for a company.
“Brand value is going to be a clear stabilising factor for a company's value through gaining customer loyalty,” Mr Otero stated in his speech.
He also participated in the round table discussion “How to position a quality wine. Domestic and international experiences”, the first of two sessions held in the capital of La Rioja on 26 and 27 March, in which representatives of the leading Spanish winemakers were also present. Among these was Rocío A. A. Osborne, representative of Osborne, a company associated with the Leading Brands of Spain Forum.
The 5th Wine Marketing Forum, organised by the Government of La Rioja and the Club de Marketing Rioja, brought together experts and professionals from the sector, with outstanding experience in successful wine cellars, tourism, marketing and selling. Its aim was to outline the path to follow for wine cellars and wine-marketing companies so as not to lose competitiveness and to continue to set the standards for the sector.
