The Spanish Development Funding Company (COFIDES), in collaboration with the Leading Brands of Spain Forum (FMRE), has introduced a new line of funding (FINBRAND) to promote the internationalisation of Spanish brands. Accordingly, Spanish companies marketing important brands can avail of medium to long-term financing for their expansion projects and plans abroad. This new line is available to fund the launch of new projects in other countries, expand facilities in foreign subsidiaries and purchase companies with significant market share. FINBRAND also provides funds to meet specific needs, such as the acquisition of foreign brands, the purchase of buffer warehouses for product exports and to conduct launch campaigns for Spanish brands.
This new line of funding gives priority to projects and plans in countries included in the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade’s Market Development Plan, namely the United States, Japan, China, India, Korea, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Russia, Algeria and Morocco.
In accordance with the recent extension of COFIDES’ mandate, FINBRAND is an initiative aimed at expanding its offering to meet the needs of Spanish companies internationalising under different forms.
