Fashion without frontiers
Zara offers the latest trends in women's, men's and children's fashion. Belonging to the Inditex Group, one of the largest fashion distributors in the world with more than 3,500 stores of its eight commercial formats in 68 countries, the first Zara store opened in 1975 in the centre of A Coruña (Spain). It currently has more than 1,100 stores located in major cities in 68 different countries in Europe, America and Asia.
The success of Zara collections lies in the ability to recognise and assimilate the ongoing changes in fashion, through the constant design of new models in response to customer wishes. Zara uses a flexible business model, comprising each and every stage of the fashion retail business: design, manufacture, distribution and sale of fashion in own-operated stores in order to adapt to changing trends and to react by offering new items in their stores twice a week. Zara´s team of designers, made up of more than 200 professionals, continuously assessing the customers´ preferences, wishes and demands offering each year comprised
some 12,000 different models for sale in its stores.
The presence of Zara in the main city shopping areas –such as Oxford and Regent Street in London; Fifth Avenue or soHo in New York; the Piazza del Duomo in Milan or the Champs Elysées in Paris– is the basis for the brand image in addition to its carefully dressed shop windows and the interior design of its stores.
