The Spanish leader in knitwear
Established in 1885 in Barcelona, its main activity is knitted garments and hosiery for middle and upper class, smart yet discreet, urban men and women, aged between 25 and 60 years. These are people for whom the brand is a guarantee, and who are in tune with fashion trends, adapting them to their own style. The name Pulligan is a blend of the words pullover and cardigan.
It offers products which are adapted to the two distinctive spheres of work and leisure: formal designs, sporty and nautical designs, casual designs, etc.
From the mid 1990s Pulligan has boosted its plans for diversification and creation of added value, through the acquisition and use of other clothing and accessory brands (Meyba and Peyton).
Pulligan has been selling its products abroad since 1955, although its internationalisation process was stepped up in the early 1980s. The early targets were Europe and the USA, where a powerful commercial network was set up. This was followed by Mexico and Puerto Rico, with its own factories.
In 2001 Pulligan set up a factory in Morocco as well as collaboration agreements with manufacturers in Portugal, Morocco, China, Turkey and Romania.
Currently, Pulligan products are sold in 17 countries, among which are the main countries of the European Union, the USA, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, China and Japan.
