The leading company in the Spanish perfumery market and the first company to introduce fashion branding into the world of perfumes.
With its own style and culture, the brand has a personality, a creative dimension and a philosophy towards innovation that is preserved and reinforced by its parent company – Puig Group. Founded in 1916 by the Catalan sculptor, Esteban Monegal Prat, Myrurgia has always reflected artistic passion in its carefully produced products. Bohemia glass bottles, exquisite presentations and endless attention to detail have made its products a resounding success.
Myrurgia focuses on the perfumery, cosmetics and personal care sector. Its traditional colognes 1916 and Maja are of particular importance, as is Lactovit – its personal hygiene product range. It also markets branded fragrances linked to the world of fashion such as Adolfo Domínguez, Massimo Dutti and Don Algodón.
Its products are top-sellers in over 70 countries. It has focussed its efforts on the Spanish market and in Latin America, particularly Mexico, where its fragrances are market leaders.
In 1996 Myrurgia entered the selective cosmetics market after buying the Payot Laboratories in Paris, founded in 1927.
When the company joined the Puig Beauty & Fashion Group in 2000, its international standing was considerably strengthened. Today the group has 40 subsidiaries in 25 countries, ten perfume and cosmetics production centres, and three fashion design centres.
