La Piara is the leading pâté company in Spain. From its new and modern factory, with a space of over 20,000-m2,it elaborates and distributes 20 different varieties of pâté and savoury spreads all over the world. In addition to Tapa Negra, it makes Fish and Meat Pâtés, pâtés for adults in glass jars and Bocadelia.

Over its history, La Piara has evolved from products focused to feed children and young people to a wider range of products intended for adults.
In 1988, La Piara became part of the Nutrexpa Group and changed its legal name to La Piara S.A.
In 2001,the building of the new factory was prioritised and it became the most modern industrial plant in Europe specialising in pâtés.
In 2006, La Piara innovated with the launch of Bocadelia, a range of delicious sandwich fillings with natural ingredients,and ready-to-spread onto bread. With Bocadelia, La Piara is creating a new product range offering the young adult a new option for dinnertime.
