The Leading Brands of Spain Forum participated with a stand, together with other Spanish companies and institutions, in the 2009 CISMEF fair, which was held in Guangzhou between 22 and 25 September with Spain as a special guest country. Over these days, the Forum promoted the recognition of Spanish brands and the image of our country in China. Also present at the fair was a large number of companies associated with the Leading Brands of Spain Association, including Torres, CAF, BBVA, Santander, Telefónica, Atlético de Madrid, Real Madrid, Caramelo and Cola Cao, along with representatives of several national and regional Spanish public organisations.

The Minister of Industry, Tourism and Commerce was present at the opening of the Fair, together with a delegation of regional authorities from Guangzhou. The group paused at the Forum’s stand for a few moments to watch the Spanish brands in China video, which was being shown there. As well as this screening of the video presented in 2008 in Beijing and Shanghai, the Forum explained its work promoting the brands and the image of Spain through informative leaflets prepared for the occasion, copies of the book Leading Brands of Spain in China and of the video shown.
