The collaborators of the Leading Brands of Spain Association (AMRE) in the United States, Antonio Renilla and Pilar Camacho, visited the Spanish Navy training ship, Juan Sebastian Elcano – appointed Spain Brand Honorary Ambassador – during its recent visit to the port of Galveston (Texas).
The “Juan Sebastian de Elcano” was docked in Galveston from 3 to 8 April. During this time, it was visited by more than 3,800 people and presented with the keys to the city by the Mayor of Galveston.
This particular port of call takes place within the context of the 80th training cruise of the Juan Sebastian Elcano to the shores of North and Central America, and is of tremendous importance when it comes to contributing to the image of Spain in the region.
It is precisely this role representing Spain’s image which convinced the jury to designate the ship as Spain Brand Honorary Ambassador when it was convened by the Leading Brands of Spain Forum (FMRE ) in the González Byass bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera.
